SLIDING GATE
Sliding gate is the most commonly used gate for residential purposes for car parking. It involves a sliding mechanism that moves on a track using wheels that are mounted at the bottom of the gate.
As its name implies, a slide gate either slides on wheels from left to right or right to left, not unlike many department stores' automatic doors.
Slide gate operators are commonly installed at the end of the gate in the closed position but can also be installed by the end of the gate in the open position. In America, the most common form of automation is a chain attached across the gate near the bottom and passing through the operator, which shuttles it back and forth. At the end of the gate/open position, you do not see the chain or any operating equipment near the gate.
In Europe a metal or plastic rack is attached to the gate with a gear fitted to the operator. The American method is more flexible and allows for greater movement in the gates, the European method makes for a quieter and more secure system. Sliding gates are often large, heavy, and therefore more hazardous than swing gates they can, however, be equipped with appropriate safety devices making them some of the safest gate systems available.
With an automated sliding gate, everything is more comfortable: no effort, all it takes is a click to open and close the gate, without getting out of the car.
Simplify your life and add more value to your home.
How to Choose the Right Motorized Sliding Gates for Your needs?
1. How do they work?
Most motorized gates work by using a motor to move the gate open or closed.
2. What are the types of motorized sliding gates?
There are a variety of motorized sliding gates that are available on the market to suit your specific needs. Some examples include manual, electric, automatic, and hydraulic motors.
3. Which type of motorized sliding gate is best suited for my needs?
There are a few factors to consider when choosing the best type of motorized sliding gate for your needs. Some important considerations include:
-The size and shape of the opening.
-The dimensions of the gate itself.
-Whether you need an automatic or manual gate.
4. What are the benefits of using a motorized gate?
The main benefit is that they are easier to operate than manual gates and can open quickly in response to an opening or closing request from you or your security system. They also typically have sensors that help prevent accidents from happening by sensing when someone is close to the gate and automatically closing accordingly.
5. What are some of the disadvantages of using motorized gates?
One disadvantage is that they can be more expensive than manual gates, but this varies depending on which type of gate you choose and how much customization is needed. Additionally, they require regular maintenance in order to keep them running smoothly - something you will need to factor into your budget when deciding.
6. How to Choose the Right Motorized Sliding Gates for Your needs?
Begin by considering the size and shape of your opening.
Some gates are designed to fit smaller openings, while others can accommodate wider spaces. If you're not sure what width or height your opening is, measure it with a ruler before beginning your search for a gate.
Next, consider the dimensions of the gate itself.
Fixed gates typically have fixed dimensions - meaning they don’t allow for much flexibility when it comes to adjusting them to suit different needs and sizes. However, portable gates (those that can be moved around) often come.
7. What factors should you consider when choosing a motorized sliding gate?
When selecting a motorized sliding gate, you should consider the specific needs that your installation will need to meet. Some factors to consider include:
a) The size of the opening - You'll want to select a motorized sliding gate that can accommodate an appropriately sized opening.
b) The type of gateway - You'll need to choose between manual or electric gates for some installations; automatic gates are preferred. Additionally, you should choose between vertical-lift, circular, and oval gates.
c) The installation location - You'll need to consider the placement of the gate in order to ensure that it is accessible and operable. Additionally, you'll want to make sure that the gate can fit into your space without obstruction.
d) The motor type - You'll need to decide between electric or hydraulic motors for some installations; manual gates are also available.
e) Installation complexity - Some motorized sliding gates require less installation time than others; accordingly, you may want to consider them.
f) The power requirements - You'll need to consider the power requirements of your gate installation in order to determine if an electric or hydraulic motor will be suitable.
g) The mechanism - You'll want to select a motorized sliding gate that has a mechanism that is both reliable and easy to use.
